“Nemesis smiles and plots an end! The day comes to a close as Americana wobbles on her last leg. Arise the day dawns and remembrances  fill you with hope”

grndpa smith catalinaNemesis and Survival Gardens, yes even today as I listen to the wind blowing outside, there is a Nemesis. This is an enemy, not only of your ability to survive, but to water, plant, and live as Americans. That Nemesis are those in Government who work daily to remove freedoms and the constitution to which it belongs. We are just one major catastrophe away from a red flag martial law event. This event must be one so bad that Obama will have no choice but to declare martial law. He will declare it, however; sounding so reluctant to do so. Yet the truth is, he and his minions have worked to bring this about. How so you might ask? Well, if you would like the truth but can’t see it yet; go through the hundreds and hundreds of hours of Warn Radio shows.

man-opticNemesis is that enemy to which every survivalist, survival garden expert, and most patriots prepare for. It is that day they know is coming to America, but hope it will wait another day. It is that time when the fabric of civilized life in this country goes to H**!? No doubt the government has been preparing for decades now. in the last couple of years we know the news has been full of them buying up ammo! Who or what is that ammo for? You guessed it! It is for the American people and with the TSA doing check points and the ever present Obama care taking aim at your privacy; the Nemesis is gaining steam.

Yet, this blog is for Survival gardens and today and as the January weather has reached 50 degree’s in Wyoming, thoughts of spring and planting come to mind. It is not as if they are far from my thoughts, they are not. All winter is spent going over last years garden, the map of it, the results, and looking at seed catalogs. As I prepare for the inevitable day called the “Nemesis”, which is just a handle I applied to it. We could call it anything, I think of my grandfather. You can see the picture above. He was in charge of guarding Catalina Waters. Having been featured in the New York Times on numerous occasions, he was involved in enforcement and as such had much information on various Nemesis that threatened the coast of California. But of his life, I remember the ranch as a young boy I played on. Gramps had black walnuts, semi precious rock, a dam where we could fish and catch frogs, and working cattle ranch. A smaller one, of course; but it was sat in the beautiful Grass Valley of Northern California.

Summer 2010 after heavy rain, the Platte river runs high and swift as tree limbs and bank grass meet the watersThe life I knew there with my Gramps in California and the life I knew as a young boy with my other Grandpa in Wyoming were totally different. Yet in the rural life, ranching and farming, raising livestock, and the family life coincided a lot. It represented traditional Americana.

Nemesis

Nemesis oh how you have struck,

Between the eyes,

In the head,

A serious blow!

Oh how can we survive the plots you have brought?

How can we bring back the smell of rural life?

Where is the simplicity of the days I remember back then?

I look out and ponder these things and truly,

My heart says yes; rural life, gardens, ranching, and farming;

They will be there forever, no matter oh Nemesis how much you destroy today!

That is what Survival is about!

That is what Survival Gardens bring to me!

That is what the Western way, life, living, loving, and family is!

Oh Nemesis, you may destroy; but there will many tomorrows,

These we will build and these we will inhabit,

By Gods Grace, and to his Glory; let us proceed to meet the enemy!

For the day has dawned, and the era has arrived, Nemesis is smiling today.

But tomorrow, oh Nemesis death will bring you down, and hell awaits;

But today, let me dream, let me thank God, and let me think of better things;

For you are a driven foe, but already beaten.
